Planning Diets

September 21st, 2009

My problem with dieting sometimes is that I am an extremely impulsive individual. I don’t plan well, until I am actually there. This being said, basically speaking there are times when I’m really good with dieting, and frankly when I’m doing something, I know exactly what I’m doing. But I don’t always come prepared, because I don’t plan for it. For example, I may decide one day that I want to go cliff diving. It comes down to the fact that I didn’t come prepared with a towel, swimming suit, or anything else, and so I have to improvise.

If it were a safety issue, there’s no improvising for that. But otherwise, you totally can. However, when it comes to dieting, this doesn’t work out for anyone really. Dieting takes planning, it takes action. You can’t be out at the beach and then decide you want to go cliff diving and then just go home, it’s not like that. You have to plan out your meals so that you don’t run into the time of day where you just go to some fast food restaurant. You have to plan the time at which you are going to exercise. You can’t just count on everything to fall into place. This is why for me, I’ve never had a successful weight loss plan of say 30 or 40 pounds. I get small results, because I don’t plan.
